Our editorial policy

Affiliate revenue does not influence what we cover or how we cover it. Specifically:

• We publish skeptical reviews of products even when they cost us affiliate revenue.
• We do not accept paid placements in editorial content. Ever.
• When we receive a free product unit for testing, we disclose it inline in the relevant review.
• When we have any other commercial relationship with a company we're covering, we disclose it.

Newsletter sponsorships

Our newsletter occasionally includes paid sponsorships from companies in adjacent categories (pet insurance, vet telehealth, etc.). These slots are clearly labeled and never appear in editorial content on the site. We turn down sponsorship offers from companies whose products we wouldn't recommend.

Conflict of interest

We have no equity holdings in any AI pet collar maker, no consulting relationships with manufacturers we cover, and no family or close personal relationships with founders or employees of companies covered on this site. If that changes, we'll disclose it here.
